Our Sponsored Children, and the Kenya Project.

The 2007 Project

We started in a "small" way by buying a water tank for the school in 2003. Next we paid for resources, materials and school improvements in 2004. Then in 2005 we paid for and built a whole new infant school at Dago Kokore. In 2006 we did more building works at Dago Kokore, and became involved in the Chiga Grandparents with Orphans Project.

October 2007 we helped to fund children and schools in three main areas:

• Dago Kokore School
• Alara School
• Funding orphans to go to secondary school

SPECIAL NEEDY CASES

100% of any donation made will go direct to the school. No administration money is taken out of it.

Funding in 2007

Currently in the fund we have:

• £800.00 gathered this year from various sources
• £2,500.00 donated specifically to pay for five children to attend secondary school
• £5,000.00 from Rod & Gay Neep

Our task in October's visit, is to identify further needs in the local community.

I always say:
"We can't help all of Africa. We can't help all of Kenya, and we can't help all of Kisumu, but we CAN make a huge and meaningful difference to a few small communities".

We already have!

Yes, we do have a good fund at the moment, but it will be easy for us to find ways of spending that. And remember, we put the money directly where it is needed. No expenses or administration costs are taken from the fund.
